Lubny Forest-Engineering Applied College
The college originated from the lower agricultural school of the 2nd category, which began to function as an educational institution in 1891.
The institution was a school, a vocational school and a technical school of medicinal plants. In 1950, a key reorganization into a forest technical school took place, and later the educational institution received its current status - a forest technical college.

Lubny Forest-Engineering Applied College trains qualified specialists in the following educational programs:
Faculty
The teaching staff includes 39 highly qualified teachers, including teachers of the highest qualification category and teachers-methodologists, as well as practicing masters of industrial training with many years of experience.
Teachers directly supervise the practical training of students on the basis of their own woodworking workshop and a unique 28-hectare arboretum, and also coordinate the scientific and research work of young people within the branch of the Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

The college provides educational services to more than 600 students representing more than 10 regions of Ukraine. The contingent has a stable growth trend.
- Forestry: the basic and most numerous program, covering 60–70% of the total number of students.
- Horticulture: the second most popular specialty, which is steadily gaining full academic groups.
- Woodworking and furniture technologies: has a stable demand and is actively developing (in particular, thanks to the state program #100workshops).
- Information systems and technologies: a new program with small but stable groups of technological orientation.
Students of the Lubny Forest-Engineering Applied College are repeated winners of annual professional skill competitions, Olympiads, scientific research competitions. They are regular participants in regional, all-Ukrainian scientific conferences, forums and competitions. The institution is especially proud of the fact that for their high achievements, the best students of the college are awarded scholarships of the President of Ukraine, and also become scholarship holders of the Lubny City Council. College students are also repeated prizewinners of regional and all-Ukrainian sports games and competitions.
